Since 1989 TLI has been committed to helping international students achieve their educational goals in the United States. We provide students with the best English training and academic programs possible. TLI has carefully designed and developed our Intensive English and Test Preparation programs to help non-native English speakers successfully learn and improve the language skills required for both academic and personal purposes. TLI is conveniently located in the vibrant Lake Shopping District of beautiful Pasadena, California, surrounded by outdoor cafés, cinemas, bookstores, and world-class shopping. Situated at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains Pasadena is only 20 minutes from Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles, and 30 minutes from LA’s famous beaches.

All of our training programs are conducted in well-maintained classrooms, which are carefully arranged in a way that is very useful for interactive learning. Two communal reception areas and a break room with a microwave and refrigerator offer students a relaxing environment outside of the classrooms. Additionally, a computer lab with free Internet access is available to all students. TLI staff and teachers work together to provide the best educational programs and academic counseling possible. Our teachers are friendly, well-qualified and experienced native English speakers, who fully understand the needs of international students. The quality and dedication of our teachers are clearly reflected in our long history of student transfers to many of the best universities in Southern California.
