With a population of some 600,000 inhabitants, Düsseldorf is seen as one of Germany’s most popular major cities and was named the second best city in Germany for the quality of life. Not only are its inhabitants very fond of their city, but so are tourists who visit it from all over the world.
Enjoy a stroll along the banks of the Rhine, the famous Rheinuferpromenade (Rhine River boardwalk) which links the picturesque historic city center with the contemporary Media Harbor. The Kö, the bustling shopping street, is a wonderful place to take in the sights. With its residents’ famous zest for life, Düsseldorf has an almost Mediterranean flair, especially in the summer.
