Our school in Munich is an elegant New Baroque style building dating back to 1900. It is a renovated, 4 storey building. There are more classrooms in another building close by on Bauerstraße 2. The school has seven classrooms in total, four of which are located at Franz-Joseph Straße 48, and three at Bauerstraße 2. Along with the spacious classrooms and laid-back environment, our school keeps group sizes small ensuring personalised and effective learning for each and every student. Location of the German Language School in Munich The school is located near the city centre in the district of Schwabing-West- a lively neighborhood with 50 restaurants, bars and cinemas within walking distance. It is at the corner of Elisabethplatz, place named after Sissi (Elizabeth of Austria) who married the Emperor Franz-Joseph in 1854. There was a famous market located here for more than 100 years. The school is just 15 minutes from the Englischer Garten, the biggest inner city park in the world. Our German Language Courses are offered in Berlin, Cologne, Munich and Radolfzell on Lake Constance. At the Carl Duisberg Training Centers you will be taught by experienced trainers, who all have a university degree. In lessons great emphasis is put on training communication skills. The learning progress is measured according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Prior to the start of the course your actual language ability will be assessed by a placement test. On course completion you will receive an official certificate of attendance. At various stages of the course program, you can have your improvement documented by taking the internationally recognized telc examinations. Naturally, at the four Carl Duisberg Training Centers, a media resource center with a multitude of teaching materials is available. This also includes computer learning programs for self study. You will receive all books and materials used in the lessons free of charge which can then be kept at the end of the course. Additionally, there are no extra costs for registration, placement test and weekly interim tests. In Munich the juniors can book our language program in summer camp, which includes: •the standard course with 20 lessons per week •accommodation in the residence with 3 or 4 bedded room with full board •afternoon activities •Supervision •Placement test on the first school day •Certificate at the end of the course The transfer from/to the airport Munich (MUC) can be booked additionally. The interesting lessons are held by competent teachers – native speakers with the long term experience of working with young people from all over the world. The courses can be started each Monday and run from Monday till Friday in the morning from 9 o´clock. You will have four lessons per day. The courses are scheduled for students with min. language level A1 and can be booked for min. 2 weeks. On the first school day you will pass the placement test, in order you can be placed in the group of an appropriate level. The arrival is on Sunday, the departure day is on Saturday. Every week our pedagogic staff prepares for juniors the activity and excursion programs: sport, city tours, zoo garden etc. You will adore Munich!
