More about studying in Bristol »
If you want to learn English in a classic English setting of rich culture, beautiful architecture, and the smell of the sea, then search no further than a English school in Bristol. In this city known for the richness of its film and music culture, there's little chance of being bored once classes are done – and enough to do that you'll end up studying double-hard just to be able to join in. With its multiple theatres, ranging from the tiny 50-seat Alma Tavern to the 1981-seat Bristol Hippodrome, Bristol offers multiple opportunities every evening to go out and enjoy yourself while testing your knowledge of the language. Or if you'd rather leave the learning behind for a bit, there's a music scene that's been thriving for decades, with styles to suit all tastes. And if all you need is a good long walk in pleasant surroundings, go take a walk along the Avon before going down to the harbour to watch the ships go by. If you're there in July, you can catch the Bristol Harbour Festival, when the docks light up with live music and street performances as tall ships and other boats and ships of all kind come together. If you're more for the air than the sea, then don.t fret – every summer, there's also the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, a major hot-air ballooning event with two mass ascensions a day. English courses in Bristol offer you a unique environment in which to learn your new language – a world-class city with all the charm and energy one expects from modern-day Britain.
