If you want to Study English in Cape Town, we would like to welcome you to the Language Teaching Centre, LTC. The General English Course is ideal if you want to improve your everyday communication skills and you prefer to study in a class with other students.

GENERAL ENGLISH LOCATION Bournemouth and London (closed groups only) DURATION 2-48 weeks HOURS PER WEEK Bournemouth – 13 hours and 20 minutes CLASS SIZE Bournemouth – Maximum 15, Average 12 MINIMUM AGE Bournemouth 16 COURSE INFORMATION General English (this includes the four main language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing).

You will join multi-national language classes following a syllabus closely mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, covering key language domains and competencies appropriate to your level of ability with additional work on fluency and pronunciation. Course has 20hs per week.

You will join multi-national language classes following a syllabus closely mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, covering key language domains and competencies appropriate to your level of ability with additional work on fluency and pronunciation. Course has 20hs per week.

Our General English Plus programme will give you the opportunity to choose one extra skills or option class in addition to the full time accredited General English course. With 25 hours per week you will be able to meet your goals more quickly by choosing topics and areas of study depending on your personal objectives; for example, you may wish to improve your conversational English, to concentrate on your grammatical accuracy or develop your ability to write in English.

In addition at specific locations, we organize social activities which suit the more mature student’s interests.

Course Overview includes: • Morning General 20 in mixed age classes • Afternoon activities: 3 p/wk • Course duration: 1–4 weeks • Minimum age: 40 • Elementary to Advanced levels At LSI we welcome young-at-heart mature students on all our courses throughout the year. In addition, at certain locations we organize social activities which suit the more mature student’s interests.

This course features: 20 lessons per week (4 lessons per day), 1 lesson: 50 minutes, hours per week: 16 hours 40 minutes (20 clock hrs/wk in the USA), 15 students max. per class, course length: 1-50 weeks, age 16+.

Whether you need general or specialized language, each course is designed for your needs and adapted to your rate of progress.
