Course description

The IELTS preparation course i prepares candidates for the academic module of the globally recognised IELTS.

The course aims to help:
• sharpen your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
• improve your fluency and your ability to express yourself.
• enhance your writing and speaking with better vocabulary and grammar.
• understand what examiners are looking ffor in the different task types
• give personalized feedback on your practice tests.

This course is 50% synchronous and 50% asychronous.
12- hour course: 6 1-hour online sessions with tutor
24-hour course: 12 1-hour online sessions with tutor

You may be required to take a CEFR level testing which is a separate payment from the course fee. Course reference books are not included course fees.

The Language House (TLH) is located in bustling Petaling Jaya, adjacent to Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur. The school's superb location and its wide variety of courses make it an ideal location to study languages.
Students can choose from general English courses, IELTS preparation courses, or executive courses. We offer both in-person and online courses.
TLH’s excellent facilities include computer facilities with free internet access, a library and convivial student environment. The language centre also encourages students to practice English and the local language while visiting popular spots in and around Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.
We constantly monitor the quality of our language programmes and update our teaching and learning materials. Our instructors and facilities will nurture your interest in your language of choice and foster an environment to maximise learning opportunities.

This accommodation has been selected to ensure that it is comfortable, clean and safe. and within walking distance to The Language House. There are a number of options in this apartment complex.

The rooms are air conditioned with basic cooking facilities, a fridge and a washing machine. Master bedrooms are ensuite while smaller rooms have shared bathrooms.

The complex also has a badminton court, a swimming pool, convenience stores and laundry.

In addition, there are malls, hotels and eateries nearby catering to varied tastes and budgets. The dining options nearby offer affordable meals that allow you to sample the local cuisine.

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged $25 when you register.

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Petaling Jaya based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
