Programme:
Montreal is a bilingual city where students have the opportunity to study either English or French.
· Lessons are taught by friendly and professional English or French teachers.
· 20 x 45 minute lessons per week, morning or afternoon.
· Placement test on day 1 to ensure students are in a class of the appropriate level
· Maximum 15 students per class.
· Standard classrooms.
· Course material is included.
· Curriculum with an emphasis on communication skills.
Activities are organised in between lessons and during evenings. These activities could be on-site, near the centre/school or around the city of Montreal. All activities are designed to continue the learning in a fun and enjoyable way, encouraging you to develop life skills and make new friends through sport, activities and socially interactive games.
Activities
Sports: With a choice of football, rock climbing, volleyball, ice skating, jet boating and mini-golf.
Cultural activities such as drama workshops, museum visits and science centre
Evening activities such as Jazz festival, Shakespeare in the park and Underground city tour.
Full-Day Excursions
Ottawa: On this trip, students will see Rideau Hall – a beautiful grounds and the official residence of the Governor-General of Canada. They will be able to see over 100 ceremonial trees planted by politicians and dignitaries from all around the world. After that, students will have a walking tour of Ottawa. They will visit the outside of the majestic Parliament buildings, The Rideau Canal, The Famous Ottawa Spider, and finally The Byward Market.
Quebec City: On this trip, students will see the beautiful Montmorency Falls and the romantic, historic City of Quebec. Montmorency Falls is the tallest waterfall in the province of Quebec. Students will be impressed by the grand expanses of nature that typify Quebec. Students will enjoy an hour-long walking tour of the upper and lower cities of Quebec. They will hear about the history of this city and see the Murals, The Dufferin Terrasse, the famous cannonball, La Petite Champlain, The St-Lawrence River, and of course, the World-Famous Chateau Frontenac. Students will get to see history, beauty and culture all in one day!
Accommodation:
Students are staying at the Grey Nuns residence, which is a student residence part of Concordia University. It's a beautiful heritage building located in the heart of downtown Montreal.
· Residence option is only available for groups
· Standard twin rooms with shared bathrooms
· All rooms are furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk. chair, washbasin and mini-fridge.
· Rooms are cleaned weekly
· Bed linen and a towel are included and changed every week
· Laundry is available and free of charge
· Common spaces are available where students can socialise
· Melas are served in the on-site canteen, students get packed lunches to bring with them to school
· Wi-Fi is available

Show details » Read more...What I liked about my trip was the quality of teaching and the organization of the program. The teachers were always very engaged and were happy to answer questions and explain things more than once.
Everything was extremely well organized and was very fun to attend be a part of. I liked everything, and do not have anything in particular to say about what I did not like.
I liked location in Montreal and the big canteen with class because was very big.
I loved the afternoon activites the best activites was jet boating and skiting.
I didn't like the restaurant in the school because lot people threw away the food and food was good.
The teacher is brilliant and exciting she got my attention for all the time.
I woud like to repeat this experience.

the location of the home stay was incredible, also my family of home stay was so good, warm and friendly with me including my housemates, with my housemates I am still in touch and they became very special people for me, also the facilities of the office of EC were always nice like the ones in Dawson college, the classes were amazing an the teacher Melissa became on of my favorite teachers in my life.
the activities were so good and entertaining and the staff also were so funny and nice , the perfect thing was the card of the metro, without that thing my experience wouldn´t be as enjoyable as it was. the last day of my course was so amazing!!! we all went to la ronde and that day I thing is one of my favourite days, since my first day everything was so perfect, I loved the independence the course give to you, I liked so much that part of independence cause for that I knew and visited a lot of things in Montreal, also the trip to Quebec was so good I wish I could've stayed more time there so I could went to more different places like Ottawa or Toronto, also the location of the office and the Dawson college were like so awesome!! I could go to every place I wanted.
all together I think the course of EC montreal was the most incredible, awsome, memorable experiene I have ever had, I met a lot of people and a lot of friends that I loved like they were part of my life since years, I will miss a lot that experience, and I hope that the next year I will go again for mor experiences.
My experience at EC School was fantastic. I liked the teacher of the class a lot because she was kind and funny, and I learnt a lot. I also liked the activities, because they were done every day and were different and fun. My leaders were also funny; they were exceptional. I liked my experience with you a lot.
