"It was a great time at Kaplan and Bath is a wonderfull place"

Anja Elshof, student from Netherlands

It was a small class, with students from different countries and different ages, Young and older. The teachers were involved and professional.
The school is in the centre of Bath. It is a small school , the teachers know every student by name.
In the afternoon I took part in excursions organized by Kaplan. I like most off them, but we visit many museums.

I have been there for 2 weeks and I had a great time. Bath is really nice. There are many things to do in Bath and the surrounding is beautiful to bike of hike .

"Talk talk talk"

Francesca Pisani, student from Italy

The lessons were really easy to understand no matter the topic you were studying, all the teachers were so kind and welcoming to every single student and they always tried their best to create a friendly atmosphere among the students so we could socialize quicker.

visa

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from Kaplan International. Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.

If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged £ 40 when you register.

Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Bath based on your budget, schedule and preferences.

Travel insurance

Study abroad worry-free with Language International's health and personal effects insurance coverage. When you book a course with us, you can opt to purchase an international insurance plan that covers not only your health care cost but also loss of your personal belongings. You must book your insurance in advance when you register.

Famous for being one of the world's most beautiful and elegant cities, Bath has everything from trendy independent shops to exclusive designer boutiques, from cosy cafés to world-class restaurants and dynamic bars and clubs, and from beautiful parks to the UK's only natural thermal spa and the magnificent Roman Baths Museum and Royal Crescent, all within a short walk of our centrally-located school. And only 15 minutes away by train is the lively city of Bristol, with many additional attractions including the famous Bristol Zoo, the Harbourside, and a world-famous music scene.

Our Bath college is based in comfortable historical buildings right in the heart of the city, less than one minute’s walk away from shops, cafés and restaurants. Pleasantly furnished classrooms are complemented by a computer centre and library, together with a common room where students can relax over a cup of tea or coffee. A tranquil courtyard garden offers a sanctuary in which to work or socialise outside.

Ask a question

"I have a prospective student from Russia who would like to study at Kaplan International College: Bath. The student doesn't need a visa."

Can you please confirm why this student doesn't need a visa. All Russian students coming to study in the UK are required to apply for their visa prior to arriving in the UK. If they do not have a valid student visa, they will not be permitted to study in the UK. If your client already has a student visa, could you please send us a copy of that?

"Could the student enroll in the Evening French course for 48 weeks beginning on October 21? Could she apply for a student visa for this course? Also, do you offer any courses that meet just 2 times per week?"

Unfortunately, we do not offer French or part time courses.
