School location

Learn English in Cork City Ireland, the internationally recognized and voted friendliest city in Europe. Cork City offers a friendly environment that gives students the opportunity to use the English language with native speakers and locals and practice with each others while gaining a greater understanding of Irish life and culture.

Cork is a small and compact city, known to many as the ‘’City of Bridges’’. The immediate city
centre is an island in the middle of the north and south channels of the River Lee.

Cork English Academy’s school building is conveniently located between the modern Nano
Nagel Bridge, one of the most photographed spots in Cork with views of St. Finbarr’s Cathedral
and Parliament Bridge , a single arch of cut limestone dating back to 1806.

The school is 2 minutes’ walk to St. Patrick’s Street, the main high street in Cork City, the famous
indoor food market The English Market and Oliver Plunkett Street which is known for its nightlife
scene.

The city's streets are lined with cosy cafés, bars, shops, restaurants and street performers. After
class students can stroll through the bustling streets of the city and soak up the
ambience.
