Advanced English courses in Hawaii

A dynamic General English course based on internationally-recognized goals and standards developed by CEFR and University of Cambridge. Focusing on real-life communication, students acquire the full-range of skills and knowledge, including listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation, needed to carry out certain communicative tasks at the end of each week.

Students combine the General English 25 Lessons (IEP) with Conversation classes for maximum improvement in minimum time. Special combination program offers big tuition savings.

Students have 2 (two) surf lessons a week in the afternoon after their morning 20 lesson program. Each surf lesson is about two hours including pick-up and drop-off time at the school (about 1 and half hours in the water).

• Monday – Friday starting at 1:30pm. • Students can start on any day and at any scheduled class time.

Elective Classes are hour-long lessons that focus on Conversation, Grammar, Survival English, Pronunciation, Idioms and Slang, and Business English. Classes are held Monday through Friday afternoon, starting at 1:00pm, 2:10pm, and 3:20pm.

Our English Intensive Course is an integrated ESL course that combines Conversation, Grammar, Listening, Pronunciation, Reading, and Writing. It consists of 4 hours of instruction a day, from Monday through Thursday, for a total of 16 hours a week.

• Monday – Thursday, 9:00am – 12:50pm (classes may be held at 12:30pm – 4:20pm depending on availability). • Students can start on any Monday and must join for at least 1 week.

Ideal for busy business professionals who desire maximum learning in limited time. This comprehensive program combines our Intensive English Program with private lessons.

Learn to play Hawaii’s favorite musical instrument, the ukulele! Global Village Hawaii is proud to be working with some of the top ukulele musicians in Hawaii led by Bruce Shimabukuro, who occasionally performs at local concerts as well as in Japan. Bruce also teaches ukulele at several high schools throughout the island of Oahu.
