UCD English Language Academy
General English offers students the opportunity to develop the English language skills required to
communicate in 21st century contexts. English language learners are introduced to global topics and
learner collaboration is encouraged, through projects and discussion.
Our General English Course focuses on speaking, listening, reading and writing with authentic materials
and tasks, as well as taking a context-based approach to grammar and vocabulary. Throughout the
course students will also develop the ability to express critical thinking in English and take English
language exams.

Class Size: Maximum 15 students
Assessment: Regular progress tests and detailed feedback provided.
*Entrance test required to establish the correct level to each student.

UCD English Language Academy is an English language school based on Ireland’s largest university campus.
We offer world-class courses for all levels in a university-style setting, with technology driven teaching facilities. Our course options include General English, Academic English, and IELTS Preparation Courses for adult students (18+ years).
The campus is just fifteen minutes from the city centre and fifteen minutes from the coast. There are frequent buses travelling to the city centre from the UCD campus.
Students can choose to stay at our on-campus residence during summer months, and at our carefully selected homestays year-round.
UCD is Europe's largest urban campus, and has the best sports and campus facilities in Ireland.
Facilities include an Olympic sized swimming pool, a 3D cinema, a bicycle shop, a fully equipped gym, and a supermarket. We also offer a weekly social programme, giving students an opportunity to practice their English, while making new friends and exploring Ireland.

UCD-ELA does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
UCD English Language Academy is located in UCD - Ireland's Global University, with world class facilities and accommodation.
The campus is in the suburbs of Dublin, just fifteen minutes travel from the city centre and fifteen minutes from the coast. There are frequent buses travelling to the city centre from the UCD campus.
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged 100 € when you register.
